Privacy Policy
ChatVault AI helps users organize ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini conversation titles and links with folders and bookmarks, and lets users export chosen conversations as PDF, Word, or Image files. This policy explains what data we collect, what we do not collect, how data is stored, and how users can contact us.
Data We May Collect
- ChatVault AI account email address.
- Conversation title metadata from ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
- Conversation IDs, session IDs, URLs, platform labels, and timestamps.
- Folder names, folder hierarchy, folder colors, bookmark records, project reference metadata, and sort order.
- User settings such as sidebar size and visibility preferences.
- Linked account metadata such as a detected ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini account email when available.
Data We Do Not Collect
- Chat message bodies.
- User prompts.
- AI responses.
- Uploaded files or attachments.
- Browser cookies.
- ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini passwords.
- ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini platform authentication tokens.
- Payment card data.
How We Use Data
We use the collected metadata to provide local export settings, folder organization, bookmarks, saved chat references, account sign-in, sync, backup, import, product settings, and customer support.
Local Conversation Exports
When a user chooses to export a conversation as PDF, Word, or Image, the extension reads the visible or selected conversation content from the current page to generate a local file. ChatVault AI does not upload, store, or sync the exported message content.
Legal Basis
Where applicable, we process this metadata to provide the service requested by the user, maintain account security, respond to support requests, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.
Storage
ChatVault AI may use Supabase server storage for account profiles, folder trees, bookmarks, chat title index records, linked account metadata, and settings. The extension may also use browser local storage for preferences, temporary caches, active UI state, and authentication session metadata.
Retention and Deletion
We keep account and organizer metadata while the account is active or as needed to provide the service. Users can delete folder and bookmark records inside the extension. Users may request account deletion or deletion of stored metadata by emailing support.
Security
We use account authentication, browser storage, server-side access controls, and HTTPS-based service providers to protect stored metadata. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but the product is intentionally limited to organizer metadata rather than full chat contents.
Sharing
We do not sell user data, do not use user data for advertising, and do not share user data with third parties except service providers required to operate authentication, storage, and support.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. ChatVault AI uses user data only to provide or improve its single purpose: exporting selected conversations locally and organizing title-level ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini conversation records with folders, bookmarks, search, backup, import, and sync.
Payments
Paid membership checkout is processed by our payment processor, which handles payment card details, receipts, taxes, invoices, refunds, and subscription billing. ChatVault AI does not store card numbers, payment credentials, or full payment account details.
User Choices
Users can remove folders, bookmarks, and saved chat references from inside the extension. Users may request account or data deletion by contacting support.
Children
ChatVault AI is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact support so we can review and delete the data if appropriate.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
